welcome to habit. a place to capture and celebrate the bits of our daily lives. it is our intention to make this capturing and celebration a habit, so we will be here regularly.
we'll be inviting friends to join us here. and in some small way, we are hoping to capture the collective life of a community of women who are artists and writers, photographers and bloggers, mothers and sisters and daughters and granddaughters, and thinkers and seers and wonderers.
we believe that there will be something extraordinary about holding these pieces of life together in one place.

emily: is mother to b. (age 10) and l. (almost-7), and wife to d. she is a painter, a photographer, and observer of the details of life. emily enjoys little more than a day on the beach, the way the light falls in the forest, cooking with local ingredients, the smell of fresh baked bread.

molly: molly and her husband are raising four little girls in a fixer-upper farmhouse in maryland. molly loves to knit, write, get her hands dirty in clay, discover a good song, and feed her family's clutch of chickens wandering around the farm. she is inspired by the natural world, a great recipe, and sleepy babies.
